How to reset your Apple Watch




Your Apple Watch is a powerful device that can do a lot, but sometimes you may need to reset it. This can happen for a variety of reasons, such as if you're selling your watch, giving it away, or if you're having problems with it.

There are 2 ways to reset your Apple Watch:

  • From your Apple Watch:
    1. Open the Settings app.
    2. Tap General.
    3. Tap Reset.
    4. Tap Erase all content and settings.
    5. Enter your passcode when prompted.
    6. Tap Delete all.
  • From your iPhone:
  1. Open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone.
  2. Tap on the My Watch tab.
  3. Tap General.
  4. Tap Reset.
  5. Tap Erase Apple Watch Content and Settings.
  6. Enter your Apple ID password when prompted.
  7. Tap Erase Apple Watch.
What Happens When You Reset Your Apple Watch?                                                                

        When you reset your Apple Watch, all your data will be erased. This includes your apps, settings, music, photos, and more. Your Apple Watch will be restored to its factory settings.


What if I forgot my Apple Watch passcode?
        
If you've forgotten your Apple Watch passcode, you can still reset your watch. However, you will have to erase all your data.


To reset your Apple Watch if you've forgotten your passcode, follow these steps:
  • Plug your Apple Watch into its charger.
  • Press and hold the Side button until you see the Power button in the upper-right corner of the display.
  • Press and hold the Digital Crown until you are done with Erase all content and settings.
  • Tap Reset.
  • Tap Reset again to confirm.
What if I want to keep my data?

        If you want to keep your data, you can back up your Apple Watch before resetting it. To back up your Apple Watch, follow these steps:

  • Open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone.
  • Tap on the My Watch tab.
  • Tap General.
  • Tap Backup.
  • Tap Back Up Now.
Once you back up your Apple Watch, you can reset it and then restore your data from the backup.
