How to Fix SOS Only Mode on iPhone

The SOS symbol on your iPhone status bar indicates that you are in SOS Only mode. This means that you can only make emergency calls or send emergency texts to the authorities. You cannot make regular phone calls or use any other features of your iPhone until you exit SOS Only mode.

There are a few reasons why you might see the SOS symbol on your iPhone status bar. One possibility is that you have accidentally activated Emergency SOS. This can happen if you press and hold the side button and one of the volume buttons for five seconds. Another possibility is that you are in an area with poor cellular reception. If you have no cellular service, you will be unable to make any calls or send any texts, and the SOS symbol will appear in your status bar.

If you see the SOS symbol on your iPhone status bar and you do not need to make an emergency call, you can exit SOS Only mode by following these steps:Press and hold the side button until the power off slider appears.
Drag the power off slider to the right.
When your iPhone turns off, press and hold the side button again until the Apple logo appears.

Once your iPhone has restarted, the SOS symbol will no longer appear in your status bar.
